View from the trail up to Cerro Arco Iris onto the massif of Trinidad-Anfiteatro
View from top of Trinidad across the faces one the other valley side onto
Monstruo/Escudo and Cerro Arco Iris (?) all behind.
Cerro Capicúa, with 1000m the highest face on this side of the valley. Problem: vegetation-covered base |
Cerro Trinidad from the hut. He looks better than his rock actually is. |
|
Faces of Cerro Laguna, above the marvellous valley. A few routes have been put by Brazilian climbers. The rock could be better than on Trinidad side. Some easier lines should be possible. |
Trinidad (left) and Trinidad Sur (right of the two persons). |

Cerro Espejo seen from half-way up the Walwalün |
Cerro Escudo |
|
The central part of the Monstruo from top of Cerro Espejo: too big to fit on a picture. Certainly the most extreme face of Cochamó |
The Monstruo with the Polish route. |
The untouched faces of the pillars left of Espejo. The rock is certainly good, but it will not be so easy to find viable lines. |
Cerro Walwalün: no doubt the best piece of granite of Cochamó, clean from below to top. Bolts will allow more routes through the slabs below. In the upper, vertical part more cracks are found. |
