CERRO SAN FRANCISCO 4300m


SE-face of Cerro San Francisco. The route follows the hanging glacier. 		 Cerro San Francisco is just west of Cerro El Morado. There is no obvious, clear line through its face. Unfortunately, the rock is reported to be very bad. There is one route discribed in www.andeshandbook.cl

 

  • Location: Baños Morales, Reserva Nacional El Morado, see map Detail of Baņos Morales and Embalse el Yeso
  • Access: 4h from Baños Morales
  • Characteristics: Rock and ice face up to 800m, very loose rock, good snow only until end of december
