Reserva Nacional Cerro Castillo (Río Ibáñez)

Description:

The trail begins in Villa Cerro Castillo and follows the Río Ibañez until the property of don Juan Hueitra. From here follow the path into the Reserva Nacional until the Campamento Neozelandés. Hike along the Cerro Castillo towards E, passing the laguna Cerro Castillo. Following to NE hike up to Portezuelo el Peñón pass. Then descend to the valley of Río Turbio. Continue until Lago Monreal and Lago La Paloma, where the road to Coihaique is. (short translation of spanish text on www.senderodechile.cl)
